Why didn't I get
my serial number after I purchased?
When you purchase you should get a confirmation email with a
license keycode to unlock your 15-day trial copy. If you did not, please
us with your order number (begins with RE) and we will send it to you immediately.
Now that I paid
for the software, how do I download it?
If you have already downloaded the trial version, just enter
your license keycode to unlock it. If you have not downloaded it yet, do so and
then enter your license keycode.
Now that I paid
for the software, how do I enter the serial number?
Start Photoshop and open an image. Select File->Automate->"module"
with Photolightning where "module" is the name of the module you purchased.
On the Photolightning for Photoshop main window, select Help->Enter license
codes, and then click in the name column next to the module you are registering.
Enter the name you registered under, then press Tab and enter the license code
(you may find it easier to copy from the confirmation email). Press OK and you
should be all set.
How do I upgrade
to the latest version of Photolightning for Photoshop?
Download the new version by clicking on one of the blue buttons
on the download page. This will save a file on your
computer called Photolightning4PhotoshopSetup.exe. Please note where you have
saved it as you will need to run this file when the download has completed. To
finish the upgrade, double click on Photolightning4PhotoshopSetup.exe and follow
the prompts to install the new version.
How do get Photolightning
for Photoshop to attach photos in Netscape Messenger?
Photolightning for Photoshop uses MAPI to launch Netscape Messenger.
In order for this to work properly, you must set Netscape Mail as the default
mail application. To do this, choose Preferences from the Edit menu, select Mail&Newsgroups,
and then choose "Use Netscape Mail as the default mail application." Click OK
to have this change take effect.
How do I automatically
attach photos when I send emails with AOL?
In order for Photolightning for Photoshop to be able to automatically
attach photos to an AOL 7.0, 8.0, or 9.0 email, AOL email must be configured as
your default MAPI mail software. Follow the steps below to make AOL your default
MAPI email software.
- Sign on to AOL
- Click on the "Keyword" or "AOL Keyword" button
- A window will appear. Type in the word Preferences and click on the Go button.
- You will see another window appear with a number of preferences that you may
set.
- Click on the word Associations to select AOL as your preferred application
for web browsing, email, and newsgroups.
- Another window will appear asking you to confirm your selection. Click on
the OK button.
- Photolightning for Photoshop will now be able to automatically attach photos
to your email messages.
You will need to restart your computer for these changes to
take effect.
AOL version 4, 5, and 6 do not support MAPI. Therefore, Photolightning
can not automatically attach photos to your emails. Instead, you may have Photolightning
prepare your photos for emailing and manually attach them yourself.
